16th ANNUAL POINT PLEASANT ELKS FLUKE TOURNAMENT

The 2010 Point Pleasant Elks Fluke Tournament will have two Divisions. The first will be the Power Boat Division which will have $10,000 in prizes. The entry fee is $135 per boat for 4 anglers, and $25 per each additional angler. The second will be the Kayak Division in which the prizes will be kayak fishing products. Winners will be announced at the Awards Picnic on the Lodge Grounds and food and beverage will be available. The picnic food is free for all registered anglers. Guest food tickets can be purchased at a nominal fee. Souvenir shirts, mugs and hats will be on sale and there will also be raffles and other surprises for all. Some of the best and most diverse year round Point Pleasant Fishing at the New Jersey Shore can be found at Point Pleasant Beach. Due to the Gulf Stream, the Hudson River Flow and the Delaware River Flow, the area produces a wide variety of species, such as Bluefish, Striped Bass, Fluke, Weakfish, and many types of tropical fish.
Anglers in Point Pleasant can surf cast from either the beach or the Manasquan Inlet Wall. The Manasquan River and Barnegat Bay are nearby as well.
Many half-day, full-day and nighttime party boats operate out of the Point Pleasant Marina. Visitors may enjoy a few hours of blue-fishing on the Atlantic, or even an overnight big game fishing trip.
